OUR SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

As teachers we always try to provide quality of learning and a caring attitude for all children by:

• Encouraging children to help and care for each other and their environment.
• Establishing clear routines and expectations so children have security and know where they stand.
• Taking time to speak and listen to individual children in our class.

• Emphasising cooperation, tolerance, participation and enjoyment in school activities.
• Recognising and allowing for individual differences in learning pace.
• Promoting a climate of high expectations.

 OPEN DOOR POLICY

At Coley Street School we operate an open door policy - parents are encouraged to keep in contact with the class teacher to discuss any issues regarding the education of their children. Early intervention, and prompt action, can prevent small problems from becoming major issues.
